Cuckoo Fun Run

Kinvara Community Council organise just one Annual Fundraiser and that is the Cuckoo Fun Run and the funds raised will be jointly donated to Kinvara Men’s Shed and Kinvara Heritage Group/Friends of St Coman’s Church Conservation Project. The Cuckoo Fun Run/Walk is held on the Sunday of the May Bank Holiday which this year is the 6th May.

The 10k walk will be a looped marshalled walk up the Northampton Road through Caheravoneen and back into Kinvara by the Ardrahan road with 2 water stops. We would really like to encourage all the walkers around to make the effort to partake this year and make this a real Community Event. We will of course also have the 10k run with the Perpetual Trophies to the first man and woman home. As well we have a 5k run and walk which adults and young people can enter as well as the 1k and 2k runs for children up to 3rd class and above that respectively. There will be medals for ALL partaking children and Gold Silver and Bronze in each category. We will confirm starting times closer to the date. If you have an opinion on the starting times please email us at All events commence at the Community Centre and we hope to have Kinvara Community Radio there again providing live interviews and entertainment. Complimentary squash, water, tea/coffee to all participants. See you there…
