Kinvara Foróige TY Leadership Group

Kinvara Foróige TY Leadership Group: Congratulations to the Kinvara Foróige TY Leadership group who graduated from NUI Galway with a Level 6 Foundation Certificate in Youth Leadership and Community Action at the end of October. Their community projects throughout the year included planting and maintaining the Kinvara Foróige boat along with designing and selling the Kinvara reusable coffee cup as part of Kinvara Plastic Free week. Additionally the group fundraised for local projects, were involved in road and beach clean ups amongst other projects. During the year they ensured that they made a positive contribution to the local community in Kinvara through own initiatives. Well done to this group of amazing young people!

Kinvara Twinning is looking for Host Families

Kinvara Twinning is looking for Host Families Kinvara has been lucky for the last 30 years to be twinned with a beautiful village and fabulous people in Locoal-Mendon in Brittany, France. We alternate visits every year. 33 people from Kinvara made the trip to Brittany last Easter and enjoyed the experience immensely. Many had the pleasure of staying with families that they had hosted the previous year. We enjoyed day trips to local tourist attractions, a French market, a sailing museum and the walled city of Vannes, got wined & dined in the village hall and had a fantastic night of music and craic in the local bar!
