Kinvara Men’s Shed are happy to announce that we have found a new home for our shed in Kinvara. Over the past 15 months the Kinvara Men’s Shed group has been working hard to secure premises and thanks to the generosity, inclusiveness and foresight of Kinvara GAA our new home is located behind the clubhouse at Kinvara GAA pitch.
We would like to thank all members of the community, but especially the GAA for giving us the support we needed to get off the ground. Our shed is a prefabricated building which will be used as a workshop for men in the community to meet, chat and work together on community and personal projects. We also plan to have a vegetable garden and poly tunnel up and running this Spring. Our members will be working on getting the building into shape over the next few weeks – connecting. water, electricity, etc.
We are lucky have a group of very enthusiastic men in our shed – but we are always looking for new members – So if you, or your father, son, brother, uncle or neighbour is interested in getting involved – we would love to hear from you. We will be holding meetings in Kinvara Community Centre on Wednesday 31st January, 14th February and 28th February at 8pm. These meetings are about organising what has to be done to get the shed fully functional. We plan to have the shed fully operational in early March.
