Kinvara Twinning is looking for Host Families Kinvara has been lucky for the last 30 years to be twinned with a beautiful village and fabulous people in Locoal-Mendon in Brittany, France. We alternate visits every year. 33 people from Kinvara made the trip to Brittany last Easter and enjoyed the experience immensely. Many had the pleasure of staying with families that they had hosted the previous year. We enjoyed day trips to local tourist attractions, a French market, a sailing museum and the walled city of Vannes, got wined & dined in the village hall and had a fantastic night of music and craic in the local bar!
For the Easter weekend 2019, we’re looking forward to welcoming our Breton friends to Kinvara once again and we’re looking for families to host adults, children or family groups. It’s a great opportunity for your children to experience another culture and practise their language skills. Even if your French is rusty or non-existent, don’t let that put you off! It promises to be a hugely enjoyable and sociable weekend so we encourage as many people as possible to get involved.
