The Community Council plays a vital role in providing services to assist the community in several projects. We recently celebrated our success in securing a grant to upgrade the Community Centre to a sustainable energy building, we assisted the Heritage Committee in securing ownership of St. Coman’s graveyard, we supported the Aughinish Community in objecting to an industrial aquaculture site and we created a new corporate entity for the Children’s Crèche. Current projects include, developing a traffic management plan for Kinvara and in promoting the installation of a boardwalk to Dunguaire Castle.Our main role is to maintain and develop the Community Centre in the heart of Kinvara. The building provides facilities for community groups, schools, charities, cultural and commercial organisations to hold meetings and events. To continue this work, we need your help. We need volunteers to join our committees to assist us in the finance, property management, legal, social, cultural, and media affairs development of the community. Your input can be as little as a few hours per month, or as much as you feel you can contribute to improve the Council for the benefit of Kinvara.
