Kinvara St. Patrick’s Day Parade: will take place this year on Sunday 16th March at 2pm. Further details will be published on their Facebook page shortly.

Previous PostPrevious Kinvara Community Transport Study: Galway County Council, Active Travel Team will shortly publish a Community Transport Study (CTS) for Kinvara village. The CTS is a non-statutory document, so it’s to give a sense of direction for Kinvara and guidance on the overall direction for traffic management in the village.

Next PostNext Kinvara Theatre Group are taking to the stage with their third production ‘Factory Girls’ by Frank McGuinness and the comedy ‘Last Tango in Ballinderreen’ on March 28-30 in Kinvara Community Centre. Tickets will be issued mid-month and available at the usual vendors, Healthy Harvest, Be Yourself Boutique, and on the door. A great night’s entertainment is guaranteed.

Kinvara Community Council: Our April monthly meeting will take place on Wednesday 16th April at 8pm and we encourage all members of the community to attend these meetings where discussion and debates on any items put forward on the agenda are always welcome. All sub groups who are affiliated to Kinvara Community Council must send a representative to every KCC meeting in order to maintain their benefits. Any items for inclusion on the agenda must be emailed in by Tuesday 15th April and you must be there to present your item. 31 March 2025
Community Transport Study: Galway County Council have postponed the publication of a Community Transport Study for Kinvara until mid-April. Their reason for the delay is the requirement to produce an Environmental Screening Report. In the meantime, the Kinvara Community Council continue to advocate for a safe crossing point in the village. 31 March 2025
Merriman Hotel: Kinvara Community Council met with TDs Sean Canney (Ind), Albert Dolan (FF), Louis O’Hara (SF), Peter Roche (FG), Senator PJ Murphy (FG), and Councillor Paul Killilea (FG) to discuss the decision to use the Merriman Hotel as an IPAS centre for another two years. 31 March 2025
Kinvara Heritage Group say a heartfelt thank you.- What a welcome the people of Kinvara gave to the Cresswell Comes Home exhibition! We had an incredible turnout. From adults who were featured as children in the images, to family and friends of those long since passed, from those who remembered being schoolchildren in the 1950s, to the current pupils and schoolchildren of Kinvara, the footfall was remarkable! A heartfelt thank you everyone who helped on the opening night, and during the week of the exhibition. 31 March 2025
