Their second hand bookshop has now moved into their new premises, the former Johnston’s Hostel and are open Monday to Friday 10am to 4pm – all are welcome!!!

Kinvara Twinning is offering students an opportunity to participate in a French exchange visit to Brittany. Local students will spend the first week in July with host families in Locoal Mendon. Posted on 5 April 20225 April 2022The newly-formed Kinvara Community Orchestra, under the batons of Garry O’Briain and Rozanne Botha, looks forward to welcoming you to a special evening of music on Friday, April 29th, in Kinvara Community Centre. Entitled ‘That’s the Way the World Goes Round’, part of the concert will feature a tribute to legendary U.S. singer/songwriter John Prine who was a frequent visitor to Kinvara and who was very much part of the music community here. Special guests on the night will include Paul Mulligan and John Faulkner. To add to the evening, The Crescendo Orchestra and Ubuntu Trio from Coole Music will also join the programme, leading to over 70 musicians performing on the night! Doors open 7.40pm, concert starts at 8pm. Suggested donation of €10 at the door. We hope you can join us!

You will also get an opportunity to learn about what Tidy Towns does and our projects this year.

The next meeting is taking place on Wednesday 23rd March at 8pm in Kinvara Community Centre. We encourage all members of the community to attend these meetings. All sub groups who are affiliated to Kinvara Community Council must send a representative to every KCC meeting in order to maintain their benefits. Any items for inclusion on the agenda must be emailed in before Monday 21st March.
