Kinvara Traffic: The Community Council, several bodies and individuals have expressed concern over the increased volume of traffic through Kinvara, the lack of pedestrian crossings, parking and road safety. The Community Council have been communicating with Galway County Council for some years on traffic management. Despite undertakings to address the matter, Galway County Council has not presented a plan or a timeline for when a plan may be presented.
At a recent meeting of the Community Council, it was agreed to form a pressure group to raise awareness in Galway County Council regarding the urgency in presenting and implementing a traffic management plan to increase road safety and manage the volume of traffic visiting and passing through our village. If you are interested in becoming involved in this group please send your email address to communitycentre@kinvara.ie
