KAVA News:  February Events at the Courthouse: Tom Portman, dobro/guitarist and songwriter is in concert at The Courthouse, Kinvara on Friday 1st February, 8pm Admission €8, concession €6. The 2019 AGM of Kinvara Area Visual Arts (KAVA)

The 2019 AGM of Kinvara Area Visual Arts (KAVA) takes place on Friday 22nd February at 8pm in The Courthouse. Past present and prospective members are warmly invited to come along for some fun, games and refreshments and to hear what KAVA has in mind for the coming year. Everyone with an interest in the visual arts is welcome to join – you don’t have to be a practicing artist. Anyone joining or renewing their annual subscription on the night will receive a 20% discount (€20 instead of €25). Christmas Day Swim

Christmas Day Swim: Kinvara Swimming and Lifesaving Club wishes to thank the organisers, helpers, benefactors, swimmers, spectators and lifeguards for making the event a great success. €2,681.12 was collected for Galway Hospice.

Coole Music and Arts

Coole Music and Arts: will hold its annual Cake and Book Sale in Kinvara Community Centre on Sunday 17th February from 12.30pm to 2pm.  Live music will be performed by young musicians from Coole Music.

Update from Stephen Warde’s Family

Update from Stephen Warde’s Family:– Stephen is still missing as from Jan 28th. We have received some leads from the public and we would like to appeal for anyone who may have any information, including potential sightings of Stephen, to contact the police in Kuala Lumpur (+60 3 2600 2222 or +60 3 2697 7099) as soon as possible. The last communication we received from Stephen was on January 1st and the last confirmed sighting of him in Kuala Lumpur was on December 29th. The police believe that he may still be in Kuala Lumpur. Though we don’t currently have strong leads on his whereabouts, we still have hope. We appreciate the messages of support that we have received over recent days and weeks. Stephen is 31 years of age, 5’11”, dark brown hair, brown eyes, medium to large build. He was last seen wearing a blue/purple t-shirt, khaki shorts and black sneakers. Thank you. Mary Morrissey (Stephen’s mother).
