Coole Music & Arts annual Santa Lucia Choir Recital will take place in St. Colman’s Church, Kinvara on Sunday 9th December at 6pm.  This is a beautiful choral event and is sure to be enjoyed by all.

 

Dolmen Centre

Dolmen Centre are hosting a festive music morning in the Merriman Hotel from 11.30 to 12.30 on December 19th. Bring an instrument or your voice or just join in for a coffee and some festive music. All welcome.

Ardrahan Church

Ardrahan Church is taking two tables at the jumble sale being held in Gort Golf Club on Sunday, 9th December. We are looking for good quality saleable items only, to include knick-knacks, bric-a-brac, cakes, preserves, toys in excellent condition, etc. (no damaged items please). Kinvara Community Defibrillator Project

In December, we’ll replace the existing AED cabinet at Fahy’s in Nogra, as the heater is not working and is uneconomic to repair. The new cabinet will be in the same location, in the Car Park of Fahy’s and will not require a key code to access the AED. Thanks to Fahy’s for continuing to host the cabinet for us. If you live in the area, please take some time to familiarise yourself with the new cabinet. We ran two successful training sessions in November, well done and thanks to all who engaged with training.
We’re taking a break for December, next scheduled AED/CPR courses are:

Kinvara Community Council

Kinvara Community Council will hold their next meeting on Wednesday 21st November at 8pm in Keogh’s Lounge room. We encourage all members of the community to come to this meeting. All sub groups who are affiliated to Kinvara Community Council must send a representative to every KCC meeting in order to maintain their benefits.

Kinvara Community Defibrillator Project

Kinvara Community Defibrillator Project Thank you to everyone who supported our recent church gate collection which allows us to continue our maintenance and training projects. The Kinvara Community Defibrillator Project (KCDP) provides AEDs (defibrillators), training and support for emergency cardiac care by First Responders. Several lives have been saved by use of the KCDP AEDs in Kinvara and we encourage all members of the community to undertake AED/CPR training. Kinvara Christmas Market returns

Kinvara Christmas Market returns with festive cheer and the magic of local wares The Kinvara Christmas Market will return to Kinvara for two weekends on 8-9 December and 15-16 December at the Kinvara Community Hall on Glebe Road, Kinvara.

With its hallmark local flavour, the market will host nearly forty stalls bursting with Christmas gift ideas from festive hampers, free from skincare and soaps, homespun wool and Irish hand-made woollen products to silver jewellery, pottery, laser cut wood, leather belts, scented candles, baby blankets and crochet toys.
