There will be a fundraising event for Road to Hope on Sunday 26th November from 12 – 3 pm at Kinvara Community Centre with delicious food and great music. This event is to raise funds for refugee support on the Greek island of Chios.
The plight of the refugees has dropped out of the mainstream media; however, thousands of families are still arriving and are stranded in horrendous conditions on the Greek islands. An island close to the hearts of many in Kinvara is Chios where Road to Hope continues to have a presence, involved in many vital support activities.
Winter is coming and funds are needed to buy essential goods such as blankets and winter clothing/footwear, especially for the children.
The event is open to all and donation baskets will be available throughout the venue. Anyone who wishes to help at the event can contact Helen on 089 440 0474
