Community Centre Energy Upgrade – The Community Council has been allocated a grant of €219,757 from the Community Centre Investment Fund. The Community Council is required to provide 5% match funding. The grant will be used to upgrade the energy efficiency of the community centre. Work will include the insulation of walls, floors, doors and the installation of a heat pump, solar panels and led lighting. A subcommittee has been formed and a project manager will be appointed shortly. It is anticipated the majority of the work will take place during the summer of 2023. Centre users will be kept informed of any possible disruption to their activities and an update will be provided at the monthly community meeting.

The Kinvara Heritage Group is pleased to invite everyone to a thought-provoking presentation on the history and conservation of St. Coman’s church – Kinvara’s “hidden church” in the centre of the town.
The presentation is to mark the launch our latest publication on the grave slab inscriptions in and around the building. Anne Connolly, the project archaeologist, will present her illustrated lecture on overseeing the restoration work over a number of years, which informed the stabilisation and conservation of the church structure which was badly in need of maintenance and repair. Come and learn more about the enigmatic 12th Century church and the people buried in the heart of our village. There will be an open floor discussion on the ownership and maintenance of the graveyard, in its entirety, for the future generations of Kinvara. Wednesday 1st Feb @8pm Kinvara Community Centre. Free admission & refreshments.
Kinvara Community Children’s Centre sincerely apologise for the disruption and inconvenience caused by the service Intruder alarm. There was a fault in the system that was only brought to our attention after almost a week. This fault has since been fixed. Many thanks, KCCC
