Kinvara Adventure Talks

The infamous Northabout sailing vessel made an award winning 4,500 mile journey through the White Sea Canal through Russia and around Scandinavia in 2013. The stories from this trip are well overdue to be shared in Kinvara, where two of the crew included local men Colm and Michael Brogan. Come to Tully’s Bar in Kinvara on Thursday March 7th to learn about sailing in the northern latitudes and gain some insight into some of the historical tragedies based within the Gulag Archipelago. This talk should be of interest to everyone #pushyourlimits  #adventure

Kinvara Area Music Blackboard / Open Mic Gig

The KAM blackboard / open mic gig will be ‪on Saturday March 9th in Tully’s Bar, Kinvara. Come on down and bring your own songs, tunes, cover songs, poems, or stories. The Loves of Cass Maguire by Brian Friel:

Kinvara Community Centre, Sat March 23rd, 8pm sharp. Clann Machua Drama Group from Kiltimagh returns to the stage in Kinvara to perform this humorous yet moving play by Brian Friel. For more than fifty years Cass McGuire has worked a block from Skid Row, among deadbeats and washouts — people who live in the past. This play deals with her return to Ireland and her genteel family’s rejection of her. It follows her lonely struggle to re-discover the home she’s dreamt of all her life and her eventual surrender to the make-believe of Eden House. This is sure to be a great night’s entertainment so don’t miss it! Tickets €10 available from ‘Be Yourself’ Boutique, Market Square Surgery and on the door. Proceeds in aid of Kinvara Town Twinning.
