Gort Resource Centre provides a befriending service that aims to reduce the social isolation that many older people can experience in our community. Visits are on a one to one basis and carried out once a week, often developing into rewarding relationships. We are looking for volunteers who would be willing to undertake this often rewarding venture over an initial minimum of 6 months. All volunteers must be willing to undergo our Garda vetting procedure as per current legislation. If you are interested please contact the Gort Resource Centre on 091 630902 or email administrator@gortfrc.com. If you would like a volunteer to visit you call us on the above number. Our hours are 10-1pm and 2-4pm.

The Merriman Hotel is commencing a Sunday Carvery from February 17th for parents with a special menu for kids, so we’d love to see as many people as possible in to experience it!

Will take place every Wednesday 9pm-10pm St. Joseph’s National School Sport Hall Kinvara. Come along for a bit of craic and a good work out!
